Thank you for your interest in the free online TOEIC class organized by MPKEN and YES – Your English Space.

Below are the course details and class rules. Please read carefully and don’t forget to register soon!

• Course Goal: Improve TOEIC score from 450 to 700+.

• Entry Requirement: Students should already have a TOEIC score of 500+. There will be a short placement test or interview.

• Course Duration: 3 months (September – December 2025)

• Class Schedule: 21:00–22:30 (Japan Time), every Tuesday & Friday

• Format: Online via Zoom, completely free of charge

• Class Size: Small, only 16–18 students to ensure interaction and effectiveness

• Instructor: 6 years of teaching experience at international schools in Japan and abroad

1. Study Roadmap

The course is divided into two main phases:

1. Phase 1: Understand TOEIC test structure, review essential grammar, and practice Parts 1, 2, 5, and 6. Goal: secure easy points.

2. Phase 2: Learn advanced grammar, practice more difficult Parts 3, 4, and 7. Intensive listening with dictation practice. Goal: improve performance on medium–hard sections and handle time pressure.

Note: Vocabulary is reinforced throughout the course. Each session includes at least 30 minutes of vocabulary training (meanings, usage, related words, pronunciation). Students must preview new vocabulary before class to maximize time efficiency.

1. Vocabulary: 600 Essential Words for the TOEIC Test by Lin Lougheed

2. Grammar: Teacher’s collection + English Grammar in Use by Raymond Murphy

3. Practice Tests: ETS TOEIC test sets

4. Dictation: ESLFast, BBC Learning English

3. Class Notes

• The main language used in class will be English (with explanations in simple language for clarity).

• Lectures will NOT be recorded.

• Presence: Students must turn on their camera during class. Microphone should be on when asked to speak/discuss.

• Attendance: Students must attend at least 85% of classes. Missing more than 5 sessions means withdrawal.

• Absences: Please notify at least 24 hours in advance.

• Homework: Complete assigned practice before class to stay on track.

PROHIBITED BEHAVIORS

• Aggressive, coercive, or disruptive actions

• Offensive, obscene, or inappropriate speech/behavior

• Religious, political, sales, or recruitment solicitations

• Threats or harassment

• Any action violating ethics or public order

• Unauthorized recording/filming of lectures or personal information of others

• For serious learners only: The class is for students who show real commitment and are willing to invest time and effort.

• Rule violators may be denied participation in future MPKEN events.

CLASS OBJECTIVES 🌱

• The free TOEIC 700+ class is a community education activity by MPKEN, together with instructor Ngọc Ánh, aiming to:

• Help foreigners in Japan systematically improve English, especially TOEIC test-taking skills – a key requirement for many international companies.

• Increase job opportunities and career development for young professionals and students in Japan who have strong potential but lack suitable learning environments.

• Build a positive learning community where everyone supports and motivates each other to improve together.

From over 200 applicants, MPKEN selected 12 committed students with real determination. Over 3.5 months, the class was held completely free, with a clear, structured roadmap focusing on TOEIC Listening & Reading.

Classes are held weekly online, combining:

• Focused theory by test section

• Continuous practice with mock tests & detailed reviews

• Personalized guidance for each learner’s level

Despite busy schedules (work, school, family), all students worked hard, followed the program closely, and made clear progress in skills and confidence.
