Company interview

Company #01

Japan's economy relies on industrial exports, and overseas expansion is a natural trend. As is known, Japan's population continues to decline while labor wages are very high. I see that Japan is already deadlocked. However, companies are always required to develop.

In 2009, we are considering expanding into the ASEAN region in Indonesia and Vietnam, ahead of other companies. Vietnam is leading a trade deficit, so I think it would be great if we could seek a surplus by producing crude oil in our country and exporting gasoline. Therefore, engineer training is an urgent task. Engineers are the key to the industry. We thought it would be great if we could capitalize on this momentum and grow. There are many similarities between the cultures of the two countries, and the Vietnamese have strong pro-Japanese sentiments, and their temperament and personality are similar to those of the Japanese.

We chose Hanoi, the capital, because of its high technical capabilities and the impression that there are many serious and solid people. The advantage of ASEAN, especially Vietnam, is that design costs can be reduced by up to 1/10, and the possibility of B to B with companies that have entered the market is high. Initially, 10 to 20 people will start from the design office, and we plan to set up an assembly plant in the future. It takes time to acquire our technology even for the Japanese, but we want them to master it in 3 to 5 years, and then play an active role as technology communicators in the local office.

International students introduced to and hired by MPKEN look forward to playing an active role as local managers in the future, and I have high hopes for them too.

Since our founding in 1980, we have provided high technical capabilities and sincere construction services in a variety of situations supporting the foundations of society, centered on the planning and design of steel bridges and seismic design.

In recent years, there have been various problems such as a shortage of human resources in the construction industry and an expected decline in construction demand after the Tokyo Olympics. However, I believe that there is a way out.

At that time, a construction company with the same aspirations introduced MPKEN to us, and we were able to employ two Vietnamese human resources.

When I interviewed the two Vietnamese I was introduced to, I felt they were proficient in Japanese and had a serious attitude about everything, so I hired them. When I actually worked with her, she looked exactly like the impression I got at the interview. We hope that you will continue to do your best to become a bridge between our company and the development of Vietnam.

In addition, by getting to know MPKEN this time, MPKEN's experience and network in Vietnam fits well with our new business, and we can build a business together.

We have just started our business in Vietnam, but we want to contribute to the development of Vietnam and ASEAN by combining MPKEN's experience developed in ASEAN and our high technology.

Expansion into ASEAN

Already

Company #03

I run a retail business and we are currently preparing to expand into ASEAN.

My first meeting with ASEAN was a trip to Vietnam seven years ago. When I interact with people, I feel nostalgic, my childhood memories are revived, and I feel first-hand the national character of Buddhist thought. And there was a "momentum" that convinced me that there would be major developments in the future.

After returning to Japan, our company's business performance was going well, and I began to wonder if we could share the joy of contributing to the development of a growing Vietnam. When I told my acquaintances about my feelings, I was told that "Vietnamese students are serious and talented," and that "there are some similarities in the thinking of the two peoples through Buddhist thinking." It was there that I met MPKEN. The international students I was introduced to were talented and serious, and exactly as I had heard.

Vietnam is a developing society, but I want them to learn the "heart" of Japanese customer service. In the Japanese tea ceremony, there is the concept of "once in a lifetime meeting", and there is an extraordinary spirit of "hospitality". I want you to experience it by all means when it comes to service and customer care.

Many regulations hindered expansion into Vietnam, and it was not as easy to proceed as expected. I just want deregulation of the distribution and service industry. If this is implemented and we can make rapid progress, I believe the day when we can stand shoulder to shoulder with Japan will not be far off.
