Silver Level Wine Class
WINE CLASS (SILVER LEVEL) CERTIFIED BY THE JAPANESE SOMMELIER ASSOCIATION (JSA)
Have you ever noticed that entrepreneurs or celebrities often like to drink a nice glass of wine? Here at MPKEN, we do not think the reason is “they do because they have money”... We like to think that these people understand something: that appreciating wine can bring success as well as many benefits.
Although there are many kinds of drinks in the world, none has the simplicity of ingredients and the richness of flavors that wine has. Even after years of study, it's more than a challenge to fully understand the different flavors and specificities of wine. However, what we would want from you is curiosity and enthusiasm in order to learn and deepen your experience. When you do, you’ll understand the ‘emblematic’ part of our class. As you may know, the ingredient that makes wine is unique: grapes. But the world offers countless varieties of grapes with different flavors. There are more than a 100 known wine grape varieties alone.
When discussing wine in French, the term 'terroir' is often used to refer to elements such as soil fertility, location and climate. These factors influence the quality and flavor of the grapes. Wine is a complex beverage. Even within the same label, aged in the same cellar, if the location and weather conditions are different, the taste can be different. Every bottle of wine has many stories to tell, stories that wine lovers want to share, stories we, MPKEN, want to bring you.
People linked through the passion of Wine can be found all over the world. While some may think of wine as a Western drink, it has recently become popular everywhere you go. Moreover, you will find it interesting to know that it is now even a common 'language' for business discussions.
As you begin to grasp more about wine, you will go to restaurants and ask for their wine menus, you’ll become more and more excited to learn about the featured selections and understand that this enjoyment is comparable to the one you get when you learn a new foreign language and begin to use it in your everyday life. Understanding more about wine will significantly expand your world. As our view of the world becomes more open, we can find joy and like-minded people with a common interest and thirst for knowledge. It is one of the few ways to become 'sophisticated'.
Join this wine course, certified by the Japanese Sommelier Association and MPKEN, and start learning this new 'language' with us !
